- Aviso sobre el programa de abril:
Contrariamente a la práctica habitual, la divulgación pública del programa de las películas exhibidas por la Cinemateca en el mes de abril de 2011 no está hecha utilizando la forma del desplegable impreso sino a través de Internet y de los avisos relacionados con la sede.
Más allá de eso, la Cinemateca se ve obligada a suspender temporalmente una parte relevante de sus sesiones mensuales, reduciendo la actividad pública exhibidora de este mes a tres sesiones diarias en la Sala Dr. Félix Ribeiro.
En ambos casos, estas alteraciones derivan del impacto de las recientes medidas administrativas que afectan a la actividad de los organismos dependientes de la Administración Central del Estado.

- Doc´s Kingdom (2011)

Cancelación de la edición de 2011.

Como es sabido, entre 2000 y 2010, el Seminario Doc´s Kingdom se realizó en Serpa, proporcionando un encuentro regular con algunos de los autores más importantes del cine documental contemporáneo. En el último año, debido a las dificultades de financiación, ya fue necesario organizar una edición más pequeña. Este año, tenemos que anunciar por desgracia que, no estando aseguradas las condiciones mínimas que garantizan la identidad del encuentro, Doc´s Kingdom no se realizará. En vez de ésto, y de cara a la situación dada, optamos por reunir fuerzas para una reformulación del seminario de 2012, en un lugar y con un modelo que preserve su carácter. El equipo que ha llevado a cabo la iniciativa cuenta en su empeño con anunciar lo más pronto posible esa próxima edición, manteniendo y desarrollando lo que para nosotros es esencial: una experiencia colectiva, informal y acumulativa, asentada en tres vertientes inseparables, que son las proyecciones, los debates en torno a las películas con presencia de los cineastas, y el encuentro y el hecho de compartir ideas en su expresión más amplia.
